5 Mental Blocks Preventing You from Winning the Lottery
Winning the lottery can be a source of high pressure. Regardless if you’re a passionate, casual or a full time lottery player, different individuals react differently to pressure. Over the past couple of years I’ve been through a lot of pressure, especially during long losing spree. It can happen to anyone, no one is immune! I’d like to call them mental blocks. These mental blocks can affect your lottery play both short and long term. The best case scenario is you’re aware of the dangers and you’ve dealt with them already.
Here are 5 of the mental blocks that prevented me from winning the lottery. It was a rough experience, not because it hurt or anything like that, but because it was annoying!
Overthinking – Go With the Flow, Avoid Too Many “What Ifs”
It all starts with a simple, “I bet I’d won months ago if I did this or that”. In a few weeks you’re already devising a strategy against yourself, instead of looking for a way to win the lottery. I’ve seen people turn their hair gray overnight. Overthinking can be a serious issue. I remember, a few years ago I was charged for something I didn’t commit. The lawsuit was already in full flight, so I got caught up in a really bad situation. Yes, most of my hair is gray, but I’ve learned my lesson. I cannot think of what can happen, I’m focusing on only what is happening at the moment.
Go with the flow. Let the stream take you down, most likely there aren’t any rocks you should worry about. After all, who knows, there might a pot of gold under some of these rocks.
Winning the Lottery Requires Taking Chances
Playing the lottery is not for anyone. In other words, not any individual has what it takes to become a lottery winner. There are people who are impatient and if they do not win in a few draws, they just quit. Why? Because they can’t deal with the uncertainty, they can’t take the risk. Now you might be asking yourself, what do I mean with taking chances?
Well, nobody can guarantee you will win the lottery by a given point in time. Ergo, the longer you’re in the game, the bigger the risk is. However, this is one of the rarest issues lottery players come across. Fortunately, lottery players seem to be fond of uncertainty and the thrill of not being able to predict the outcome. It’s a game with its own pros and cons. If, however, the player gets into this limbo of “is this right, am I doing something wrong”, he/she is a potential ex lottery player.
Think Big – Push the Limits Whenever Possible
Thinking is in general a bad thing when it comes to winning the lottery. It just happens. Regardless of how much you plan, how much you strategize, you won’t get anywhere near that jackpot. Then again, applying a methodical approach can significantly boost your chances of winning. I’ve proven this with legit evidence.
If usually recommend this procedure to people only when they’ve reached a certain level, when the lottery has started stalling. If you’ve gotten up to this point, chances are if you don’t do anything, you will quit playing the lottery, which can only lead to you not winning the lottery. Revamp your complete approach. Start from scratch! Make the problem big, or you can turn your dreams big. Why not put yourself in the shoes of a jackpot winner. See how that feels for a change. Let that dopamine dose run in your head. Feels good, right? That’s what a jackpot winner feels every day. Do you want to become one? You better push yourself to the limits, but don’t overthink it! Act more than you think!
Focus Thyself on Winning, Not on Losing
There’s a rather popular topic, that’s been discussed a lot of times over the past decade. The law of attraction has been the secret of a lot of successful people. You too can benefit if you know how to use it. Once I started practicing this truly revolutionary approach to dealing with all sorts of life problems, I experienced significant improvement overall. Focusing all your efforts on winning the lottery doesn’t guarantee you will win. Again, I repeat, KNOW you will win. I know it’s difficult to grasp the whole meaning of what I’m trying to say, but once you replace the “can “or “may “with “will win” you will realize what I was trying to say this whole time.
By thinking of losing, or that you won’t win you block yourself. You kill your lottery play. We don’t want that to happen, do we?
Have Faith in Your Numbers – Doubts Can Affect Your Returns
I’m sure I’m not the only one that has pointed out this because it’s so obvious. If you don’t think your numbers are fine, then who will? Not that it can change anything immensely, but it’s one of those things that can make a change in the long run, at least how you feel about the lottery. It’s not an accurate, an actuarial thing, yet it makes changes, there’s no doubt about that.
I’ve noticed that I perform way better when I have a positive attitude before the draws. Once I get in the zone, there’s nothing that can put a stop to me. I sometimes don’t even care for the results, although this happens rather rarely. I feel so complete that I know, regardless of the results, I will still feel good about me being a lottery player. However, I usually feel a lot better when I win, even though I didn’t have a good day.
