Why the Lottery Isn’t the Answer to Your Problems! Straight from the Heart of a Lottery Player
It’s true that sometimes we think that winning the lottery would solve all our problems, but that’s not entirely true, you know. Of course the lottery is the fastest way of becoming rich, but what are the odds? It’s nearly impossible to think that the ticket you’ve just bought will yield you a million dollars, it’s impossible to think that the ticket you’re about to buy will yield you the lottery jackpot – it’s all about the odds of winning the lottery. But there are some people who think that the lottery is the only way to solve all problems.
It’s nice to have dreams, it’s good to have goals and ambitions, but if those ambitions are based on odds, it’s worthless. It’s like building a three storey building on a pile of bricks! It’s nice to know what you would buy after you win, or what you’d do with all that money and where you’ll go – that’s not the issue. While winning the lottery will help you achieve all the goodies the world can provide, you can never guarantee that you will truly be happy with what you will achieve.
The Lottery and Your Practical Life
Alright, so we’ve read a lot of stories were lottery players become millionaires and are still not happy with their lives. They have everything, money, cars, houses, land, goodies you name it, but they’re still not happy and some have even said that winning the lottery has been a curse. Think about it, think about your life before the lottery and think how your life will transform after the lottery. Apart from the good stuff, you have lots of negativity like unwanted attention, unlimited visitors, unknown well-wishers, begging hands, lots of unwanted expenses and much more.
Apart from that, people never change, their lifestyle does, but they remain the same. So let’s assume a person who’s happy in his comfort zone, suffers depression, might be overweight, is probably battling an addiction and chooses to ignore his responsibilities – what happens to him when he wins a jackpot? For obvious reasons, he won’t change, his situation might worsen and to his list he’d include prostitutes, cocaine, booze, fake love, divorce and finally death. This is what you can the curse of the lottery – a situation that turns the whole life of a lottery player, for the worse.
You Are the Answer to Your Problems, Not the Lottery
A lot of times I sit and wonder what I would be able to accomplish after winning, and most of the times I realize that the solution isn’t in winning the lottery, it never was. The answer to your solution is yourself, seeded deep inside your heart. Because no matter how much you love playing the lottery, there’s no way you should leave aside your moral responsibilities to play your favorite game – that is where the problem starts from. The solution is when you play the lottery responsibly, it’s when you don’t have a problem with the outcome, it’s when you’re sure it won’t affect your emotional state of mind.
Playing the Lottery for Fun Not For Problem Solving
There’s a reason why some people were naturally born rich and some were left to be poor, but there’s something extraordinary about the poor – most of them are the happiest in the world, so clearly, it’s not about the money. Life isn’t about money, it’s about love, connection with others, gratitude and meaning. Everyone should have a purpose in life, apart from buying a fleet of cars and a row of houses; everyone should have a goal to achieve.
Winning the lottery does give you money, fame and power, but that is not all that you need to live the life of your dreams – what if you had everything, but no love, or happiness? No connection with others? What kind of life would that be? A lottery winner on a deathbed wouldn’t be taking anything, his fame, power and money would all be a waste, it’s the memories that count. How many lives have you touched? How have you treated others? How happy are you if you were to learn how to appreciate your surroundings?
It’s very common to get caught up in the chaos of our everyday life, and in the process we forget what’s really important. To know what’s important, ask yourself what you would like to do if you only had a year left to live. What would you change? How would you treat every second of your life? Would you forgive others, would you have more fun? Now ask yourself another question, do you really have to win the lottery to win what you’d accomplish if you had a year left to live? No, sir. You have the choice of achieving them today, even if you don’t win the lottery.
