4 Important Things I’ve Learned from Lottery Winner Failures
Winning the lottery is not the end of all worries and it’s not the solution of all of your problems. Sure, it does solve most of the problems one lottery player might have, but it’s not a definite solution by default. In the past, we’ve witnessed some situations when the lottery winner gets into a serious life crisis. Yes, lottery winner failures are more common than you think they are.
Some people are just not destined to enjoy in the merits made possible by a big lottery win. I pay close attention to what goes on in the lottery community. These are the lottery winner failures that just stuck in my memory. Once in a while I remember them and I don’t if I should cringe or I should laugh at them.
Always Keep Your Lottery Tickets in a Safe Place
You never know if that’s a winning ticket. Since the majority of lottery players tend to play the same number combinations over and over again, which, according to my opinion is the right approach to playing the lottery, they know perfectly well what are the numbers on their lottery tickets. However, knowing your numbers doesn’t make you a lottery winner in the eyes of the lottery provider. You need to have the lottery ticket as a proof. These lottery players are lottery winners, but they’re also lottery winner failures.
On few occasions I’ve seen players who wash their tickets, players who’ve simply lost their tickets. Once I realized that this can happen to me as well, I started keeping all of my lottery tickets in a safe place. As soon as I get back home, I put them there, out of harm’s reach.
Don’t Lose Yourself to Money, Fame and Wild Ideas
So, finally, your dream came true. You’ve won the jackpot or you’ve won a significant amount of money from the lottery. You can live a happy carefree life. Well, in my experience I’ve seen quite a lot of lottery winners that literally lost their minds. These lottery players lost their minds to money and fame. Partying was all they can do. Not to mention the ludicrous money spending sprees. Was all of this necessary? They could live without it before they got the money they always wanted, possibly needed as well. It seems like power corrupts us all. Well, it won’t corrupt me! This is one of the lessons I learned from lottery winner failures. Always touch the ground with your feet.
Sudden life-standard changes can damage your health, social relations and reputation. These changes can have a long-lasting effect. Now, I know fame and money sound very appealing and yes, I’d like some of that too, but these players went one step further. They failed to realize that you don’t always have to be in the spotlight. I guess they just got addicted to fame and fortune. The majority of these lottery winner failures ended severely bad. Some even ended their lives because they just couldn’t handle it.
Never Forget Your Closest Friends and Family Members
They were there for you when you were nobody, figuratively speaking. Whenever I hear someone say “Money changes people, but it can’t change me” I cringe immediately. I know for a fact that in the past money affected me pretty badly. It wasn’t until a few years ago I found out about these lottery winner failures who left their S/OS, friends and family members and went on partying. Some lottery players left their husbands and wives to live the life they probably couldn’t afford earlier.
However, since they’re not used to proper money management and they don’t have a continuous source of income the partying usually ended rather quickly. And where did they go once they ended with empty pockets? They lost the respect of their friends and family. Yes, some of them got along. They ask for forgiveness with hope that their sins will be washed away.
Never, and I mean never, ever abandon the people who mean you no harm, the people who appreciate you for who you are, not for what you have.
Even If You Are Rich You Are Not Immortal – Biggest Lottery Failure
These are my “Lottery Winner Failures” award winners. Yes, some of the previous failures, I mentioned were pretty obvious and most of you expected them, but you probably didn’t expect failures of this magnitude. Several lottery winners challenged the fundamental laws of life that we learn about when we’re young.
All people can die if not careful and self-aware of the damage they can do their bodies. Well, let’s add up all of the previous lessons I’ve learned by now. It sums up to pretty much this. Eat, drink, party in moderation. Money and power can blind us all. Certain lottery players blinded by the overwhelming amount of money they’ve won died from alcohol poisoning, from lead based paint used during tattooing, car crashes etc.
Whenever I hear about a lottery winner who ended his life in some way, due to negligence let’s say, I start to feel bad for being a lottery player. To be honest, I know I’ve learned these lessons and that I’m aware of what can happen to me, but I’m still afraid that one day maybe I’ll be on some lottery winner failures list. Maybe I’m not destined to win the lottery just because I might fail big time.
