On the 24th of September, Eric Hale of Bend won a lottery jackpot of a whopping $1 million. Although he missed the Powerball, he did however pick five winning numbers. As soon as he found out that he had won, he instantly called his brother Quinn, who was then living in Yakima, WA. Eric was quoted saying, “When I was a kid, I promised my brother that if I ever won the lottery, I would split it with him. He was my first call when I realized I won.” Quinn didn’t believe him, but when he split the pot, he stated, “This is beyond cool. I never believed he would actually do it.” According to the Oregon Lottery, after taxes each brother took home close to $335,000. While Eric will invest some money and continue graduate school, Quinn will use it as a down payment on a motorhome and pay off bills! OMG. I think just read something close to a sermon.
The 17 Endreson siblings Split Lottery Jackpot of $20 Million
This family splits a lottery jackpot of a whopping $20 million to fulfil their late mother’s last wish. According to the Endresons’ their mother, Flossie always dreamed of winning a lottery jackpot and splitting it among the family. Flossie was 85 when she passed away in 2004 and from the funds she had left behind, the siblings bought a ticket and won a lottery jackpot of $20 million and to honor their mother’s last wish, split it equally between them.
Nephew Splits a Lottery Jackpot Worth $8.75 Million With Uncle
On the 31st of October 2013 something magical happened, Souksavanh Phomphakoy, who won the lottery jackpot for a whopping $8.75 million, split the pot with his uncle. Why? Well, 10 years ago, his uncle gave him an invaluable gift – the opportunity to study and learn English in the United States. As soon as he realized that he had won the lottery jackpot, he immediately called his uncle, who at first refused to believe him. But as soon as he told him about splitting the jackpot, his uncle hugged him tight.
