Lottery themed movies worth watching
Lottery themed movies standing out from the crowd”
People fantasize a lot about what they might do in case they would match all the numbers in a lottery draw and scoop the jackpot. While this is only wishful thinking and the dreams rarely come true, those who are lucky enough to experience something like this serve as an inspiration for others. It comes as no surprise that lottery themed movies are also popular, and a couple of them stand out from the crowd.
It Could Happen To You
Keeping the hope alive is the only thing that lottery players can do, as they play a game that has the odds stacked against them. This is why the plot of this movie is so appealing and the fact that it was inspired by a true fact only makes it more worth watching. Nicholas Cage is the lead character in the movie, and he keeps his promise of splitting the jackpot with a restaurant waitress. Unlikely as it might sound, the events depicted in the movie happened one day, and just like the title suggests they could happen again.
If I Had A Million
The odds of winning the lottery jackpot are insignificant, but the chances of having a wealthy dying man split his fortune with you and another seven people are even lower. This is the plot of this movie, but fortunately for those who choose to watch it until the end, it gets better and better. The eight people who are chosen by the dying men are trying to figure it out how to manage their newfound wealth and their attempts are quite extraordinary.
Lottery Ticket
Mildly amusing and quite engrossing, this movie follows the twisted path taken by Kevin Carson on route to redeeming his winning lottery ticket. Unfortunately for him, he lives in a neighborhood where the bad guys swarm and the task of cashing in the jackpot is much more difficult than it seems. Everyone is trying to claim the $370 million winning ticket, and when the stakes are as high as they get nobody seems willing to let go.
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory is a lovely tale
Despite the fact that the plot is not revolving exclusively around lottery tickets and jackpots, this movie is equally suitable for children and adults. A child named Charlie discovers the winning ticket inside the chocolate bar and this present him with the opportunity of touring Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The voyage is just as exciting as the destination and the actors do a brilliant job in turning a relatively silly premise into an extraordinary movie.
