Online Lottery vs. Offline Lottery – The Pros and Cons to Get You Going!
So you’ve been playing the lottery, I get it; yes, you play at your convenience i.e. sometimes online and sometimes offline. I’ve been doing so too, up until I found out where the value really lies – online or offline? You’ll agree that playing the lottery is the easiest way of becoming an instant millionaire. Lotteries are a great source of entertainment, because you have that ‘on the edge’ feeling of whether you’ll strike gold in the upcoming drawing! It’s exciting really, but you must learn to control your emotions, whether you win or not.
Okay, when do you think the internet was born? Sometime in 1980, what about the history of lotteries? 187 BC! So you will agree that offline lotteries were highly popular until the internet was born – giving us the ability to purchase tickets online while we coolly sip coffee in the morning. I used to buy my tickets offline i.e., personally going to a local gas store to buy my tickets, for me it wasn’t all that difficult. But one day things changed for me.
There was an accident and the road was jam-packed with traffic and people scattering about like red ants. I couldn’t leave my car to buy my tickets so I had no choice, but to turn back and continue my journey without my lottery tickets. That is when I realized the importance of online lottery, i.e. I could buy my favorite lottery tickets without having to worry about traffic or anything else! Another thing, with just a few clicks I could buy and play many other lotteries instead of just one. That’s the magic of online lottery. Having said that, if you like a little chit chat with the cashier before you buy your ticket, or if you think that you’ll be luckier if you did something before buying the lottery ticket, well tough luck!
Like I mentioned, you don’t have to worry about traffic, and you don’t have to keep track of the time your local gas stores open for you to buy your lottery ticket. Way before the online lottery was possible, people used to flock their local stores to buy lotto tickets and I’d keep looking at the long line of people with coffee in one hand and keys in another. By the time I got to the counter I had already wasted over an hour of my time, sometimes even more! So if you don’t like waiting, online lottery is for you, but if you like connecting with people while you buy your lottery tickets, offline is your method!
Whatever you decide, remember that nothing can increase your chances of winning a jackpot, it all depends on your luck and the numbers you picked so while I find no major difference between online and offline lottery, I prefer online lottery because I can’t be bothered with traffic, weather and lines when I can comfortably purchase my ticket online! What’s your favorite method? What do you prefer? Online lottery or offline? Let me know!
