What a Day In the Life of a Lottery Player Actually Looks Like
You and me are just regular people. Right? Well, to some extent. You see, there’s this thing that you and I both desire, whereas the majority of our friends and a portion of our family thinks it’s only a fairytale dream. It’s the jackpot! That one prize, we desire for years, some of us for decades! Besides helping around the house, providing resources for my family, I play the lottery.
Today I’m going to try and show you a glimpse of how a day of a lottery player actually looks like. I’m talking about the passionate kind, not the casual ones. To be frank, I consider myself a passionate lottery player, my S/O tends to disagree, that’s because she never felt what I’m feeling.
So, without any further a due, this is my average day!
Get Up Early, Leave the Bed As Soon As Possible – The Secret of Success
Back in my early 20s, I had a friend who was waking up rather early. One occasion I asked him what’s the big deal with it. Like, there’s isn’t much you can do at that time. He grinned and responded as if he knew I was going to ask him that. My friend explained me, that’s his secret to success. The earlier he gets up, the more things he can do. Day time was not enough for him to manage everything.
So I wake up early, check my email, check the news, check what lotteries are on today. I have a clear cut schedule. I don’t want to miss a single draw. I buy in bulk, several draws ahead, this is only a prevention not to miss any. If there’s an email, I respond, if there’s something big going on, I do a thorough research, and if I’ve forgotten about a draw, I take care of it immediately. Did I mention breakfast? Yes, I take care of that too. After all, I don’t have a 9 to 5 job. That’s the least I can do!
Go Through Statistics, Past Results – Money Management Is Crucial
I want to go through the statistics and the past results quite often and before today’s draws. Just in case I’ve missed something and make a late entry. Now I do not recommend you this, but it’s my thing. After all, I have the time and the analytical skills to do it. Plus, I enjoy it!
Probably the most important part of this process is double, triple checking the returns. If things go south, I must start looking for a regular job that will pay the bills, buy food, etc. Things normal people do. As long as I’m making a profit, there’s nothing to worry about. Bear in mind, when I say profit, I mean there’s enough money to cover my share of the bills, the groceries, to cover my lottery play and to save some. It’s hard to believe, but it’s my reality.
I always look for new approaches to improve my results, but that tends to happen rather rarely. I guess I reached my peak.
Follow the Lottery Draws – The Moment of Truth
Yeah, well, once in a while there’s some action. Everything comes down to this. Am I going to make it? Is that jackpot finally going to reach its rightful owner, me of course. So far that hasn’t happened, but I have a good feeling about it that it will happen in the foreseeable future. Thanks to the fixed schedule of lotteries I follow, I’m able to keep track of all lotteries in real time. In other words, I get to know if I’ve won and I’m going to be celebrating, or I’m the loser of the day. Usually the 1st one happens. I manage to break even and on good days, I’m the one who earns the money! Rock on!
I sort the results accordingly. If I don’t do it now, It happens that I forget to do it. I’m a human being. I can forget also. This is probably my favorite part about the lottery. If only there was a world in which I could play it non-stop. That would be a utopia!
For what it’s worth, I love what I’m doing, and I will keep on doing it until I win the jackpot! After that I can retire in peace, careless, free of everything.
Report My Results – End the Day with A Smile
Regardless of the results, meaning it doesn’t matter if I’ve won or I’ve lost I try to keep it away from my family. I usually debrief that all is well, that they have nothing to worry about. If I win something big, I bring the news with a big smile on my face. They enjoy it!
It’s very important to stay positive. However, this is important in the long run. In the short term, try not to miss a draw, try not to lose a winning ticket, or even better, try not to lose any lottery ticket at all. After all, you are a lottery player. As such you have certain responsibilities.
Earlier I mentioned that I’m checking how well I’m doing on a regular basis. We’ll I’d recommend you do it as often as possible. You don’t want to get carried away by the excitement. It should be profitable. Being a lottery player is awesome, but being a successful one is way better. You don’t want to end up as those unsuccessful lottery players we hear about on the news.
